I am going to try the Nimaso cable and see if that works - if not back it goes. No one there seemed to have a clue about anything much to do with USB 4 vs 3.1 2 vs below. An hour wasted on the phone and on live chat in parallel with Samsung tech support resulted in both of them telling me to replace the monitor. My new thunderbolt usb-c 4 from cablematters arrived this morning - intel certified for up and down between 3.1 and 4 - and I was excited to see if USB-C worked better - as that is why I bought this - huge disappointment - it charged but gave no picture. I have been using my new screen on HDMI for 2 days which is pretty good / airplay is terrible (almost pointless). Is anyone else experiencing this? And if so how did you solve this problem ? Will a reset work? Is it a setting Some where? Help! I wouldn't like to send it back, this is the perfect device for my home office and bedroom. Tried all different settings in windows and OS X. Tried unplugging all usb pheriperals but it doesn't seem to differ, the source icon changes and has a checkmark and red sign, suggesting it should work. Both cables seem to work using other usb-c monitors and devices.

But there was no way to get it to register as a display in windows 10 or OSX bigsur. Using each cable connected to the USB-hub with mouse and keyboard connected to it and charged the laptop (HP and MacBook). Without a supplied usb-c cable I grabbed an usb cable from my MacBook and an Amazon standard usb-c cable. But that's not the way I would like to connect it, so I tried the usb-c connection. That worked very well using hp elitbook 820, windows 10, 8bit, 60Hz.

When the phone asks for the wireless password, use the same password that you tried in Kasa. Forget the wireless network that you are trying to connect the smart device to, and then reconnect. Going into your phone Settings > Wi-Fi menu.

The last four characters of the MAC address are also apart of the network name of the smart device. Make certain you choose the correct smart device to connect to.Open Kasa and select the option that you are manually connected to the smart device located on the bottom of the setup screen
